To be fair, it sounds like Monster Ark is quite a bit more than a monster movie. “Women who change the world.” And in Monster Ark she plays Ava, an archaeologist who does just that while working on a dig to uncover Noah’s first ark, and inadvertently unleashing, well, a monster. 3
O’Connor, best known for her long stint as Gabrielle on TV’s Xena: Warrior Princess, said that her Monster Ark character is an archaeologist named Ava. She and her ex, Nicholas, used to go together on expeditions but headed in different directions personally and professionally. 2

She just makes anything she does look good. And, it helps to know she has a sense of humor and keeps on keeping on. Nice to see you guys! Does that mean that anytime Renee portrays a caring woman, someone is going to want to compare her characterization of a caring woman to Gabrielle? That’s kinda shortsighted isn’t it? 6

The people you’re supposed to believe are the ‘bad’ guys discuss in two separate sequences that no one can be allowed to find this artifact, let alone let this creature out, or the world is doomed. Problem is, they discuss this well after both things have happened. There was plenty of room, and perfect breakaway scenes, to insert both of these conversations in, and make the movie flow better. 5
Sure, it killed people but it did so in an unremarkable way. It would stand above the victim and swipe and slash and sometime the victim died and sometimes he didn’t. The special FX were not that great but maybe Directing was at fault as well? Only worse, he was just wounded and the only other hot chick in the movie (besides Renee) flew away with him in a chopper about 3/4’s of the way thru. Also, the head military guy’s acting was WAY over the top during most of the movie. 7
Cloverfield Monster is a movie which was released in the year 2008 with its production done by J.J.Abrams. It has been directed by Matt Reeves and has Drew Goddard as the story writer. It initially became popular during the screenings of Transformers and was later scheduled for release on 18th January, 2008. With the aim of promoting the movie the Paramount Pictures have undetaken the viral marketing campaign. 4
