Some thoughts of Go Getta
Go Getta
The Snowman returns with his much awaited sophomore album The Inspiration. Jeezy has proven himself as one of the catchiest rappers in years. From the ad-libs to the hooks that get stuck in your head, after the first spin of a Young Jeezy record he remains undeniably one of the hottest artists out in the past few years. With Lets’ Get It: Thug Motivation 101 already achieving classic status in every hood in every state, how could Jeezy possibly repeat or improve on his first contribution to the hip-hop community? 3
This album isn?t without its faults, there?s the skip-able ?Hypnotized?. Where Jeezy attempts to capture you with his raspy voice and command that you get on your grind. It seems very dragging and slightly annoying The production on this album once again is pure fire!!! An great example is the lead single ?I Luv It?. 2

With all of his projects and his success, Jeezy has managed to stick close to his roots. In November, he and DJ Drama dropped the latest installment of the Gangsta Grillz mixtape series. The mixtapes are what brought Young Jeezy national attention back in 2003. 6
“Go Getta” is the second single from Def Jam artist Young Jeezy off his second album The Inspiration, it features singer R. Kelly . It was released in late January. This song was #76 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007. 1
Jeezy had cases, beef over his clothing label, and hell, growing under one of the dons of the game, he has nothing more to talk about than the trap? These days, everyone wants to maintain their market share, make sure their base is covered, but they end up making the same songs, just with the latest crop of popular producers. Jay spent a good chunk of his early career spitting coke raps, and the Clipse still have residue on their fingers. The difference is, they took time to switch up the flows, inject some humanity into it, basically, repackage their dope and redistro it to the masses. If Jeezy doesn’t handle his business like he handles the weight he supposedly moves, he might end up being relegated to a weaker dope spot. 5
Young Jeezy’s Thug Motivation 102: The Inspiration hits stores on December 12th, 2006. Get more info on Jeezy at the CTE website, or at his Def Jam website. 7
The tag-team producers known for Rick Ross smash ?Hustlin? team up with The Snowman and Keyshia Coles for ?Dreamin?. Instead of reinventing the style that made them famous, much like when they produced Fat Joe?s ?Clip and Revolve? they go for a new sound. Jeezy is back on a introspective vibe, wasn?t really feeling Keyshia on the hook but Jeezy went hard on the track. 4
